It is worth noting that the Misr El Kheir Foundation established and launched a specialized technical support unit for building the capabilities of NGOs in 2019, under the name “Misr El Khair Unit for Building the Capacities of NGOs.” The mechanism and strategy of the unit’s work were based on adopting an interactive, participatory education model among those in charge of managing NGOs, based on knowledge and practice and reviewing and criticizing development experiences while working to strengthen internal governance mechanisms and their applications within NGOs, as well as working to encourage innovation in Designing development interventions and linking them to sustainable development goals.

The unit also sought to work on providing opportunities to develop cooperation between Arab civil organizations and maximize the common role among them in facing local and regional development challenges. In order to achieve its goals, the unit has sought, since its establishment, to open the door to cooperation and coordination with organizations concerned with the role of civil society organizations, whether they are governmental, civil society or international organizations, and to work on transferring distinguished expertise to civil society organizations.

Capacity Building Unit for NGOs.

The “Arab Center for the Sustainability of Civil Work” aims, in addition to the objectives of the previous unit, to strengthen the capabilities and develop the practical practices of civil society organizations in the Arab world, and to provide them with technical and technical support in achieving sustainable development and building alliances. The services of the "Arab Center for Sustainable Civil Action" include providing technical and training consultations and services related to developing the practical practices of civil society organizations, supporting youth community initiatives in the field of sustainable development, launching regional campaigns in the field of sustainable development and climate action, and supporting the digital transformation of civil society organizations, in addition to establishing qualitative alliances, networks and federations in the fields of sustainable development and building their capabilities.
